From the Bath Chronicle on Saturday the 28th of June 1913

Whilst mowing operations were in progress in a field at Brokenborough, on Tuesday, Arthur Vizor, aged seven years, son of Charles Vizor, ran alongside the mowing machine and stumbled, with the result that his right hand was cut entirely off up to the wrist, also a finger of the left hand.

The little sufferer was removed to the Cottage Hospital at Malmesbury, and his condition is reported to be serious.
