From the North Wilts Herald on Friday the 26th of April 1912
On Saturday evening an accident befell Mrs. Wheal, of Ingram Street. She was crossing the road in Lower High Street when two cyclists were descending the Town Hill at a reasonable pace, and as she tried to avoid one she collided with the other and was knocked down.
The woman was promptly taken to the Cottage Hospital on an ambulance, and it was found that her shoulder was dislocated, and that she had been very much cut and bruised about the face, and was suffering from shock.
