From the Gloucester Citizen on Saturday the 9th of November 1912
Following the meet of Earl Bathurst’s V.W.H. Hounds at Crudwell on Friday, sport took the field in the direction of Charlton. Here, whilst up in the first flight, Mrs. Archer Shee, wife of Mr. Archer Shee of Oxford House, London-road, Cirencester, met with an accident.
After taking a fence, her horse slipped on landing, and Mrs. Arthur Shee was thrown, but she fortunately fell clear of saddle and horse. She sustained dislocation of the shoulder and other slight injuries. Several gentlemen rendered prompt help, and Mrs. Shee was, quickly as possible, taken to Malmesbury Hospital and attended by Dr. Moore.
In the evening the patient was brought by motor to her residence at Cirencester, and is doing as well as can be expected after such a severe shock.
